The second issue of our digital magazine “Consorseguros” aims to maintain the line marked out in terms of diversity and immediacy of content, always related to matters in some way linked to the activity of the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (CCS).

This time, the main theme in the “Analysis” section is taken up by an article written by Ignacio Machetti, Chairman of AGROSEGURO, and dedicated to the Spanish Combined Agricultural Insurance system. The article surveys and describes in detail the main components making up one of the world’s most developed insurance solutions for protecting farmers and livestock breeders, and which also constitutes an efficient model of public-private partnership.

In the section on collaborations, the first article focuses on the functioning – including the origins, development and challenges – of the Norwegian system for compensation of damage from natural disasters, in a comprehensive analysis of how Norwegians have confronted natural risks, and the role in that field of insurance and public institutions. The author is Gunn Eide, Head of the Section of Agriculture Losses and Natural Disaster Compensations, Norwegian Agricultural Agency.

The second article in this block on collaborations, written by Miguel Luque, Insurance Director of REPSOL, centres on the perspective from which an international company deals with the management of natural hazards, an interesting description from the point of view of a top-flight insured, which is exposed to multiple risks in its diverse locations and facilities.

The sections on “Profiles”, with the subsection seeking to focus on case law and legal aspects related to the CCS, and on “News” complete the contents of this issue which we hope will be of interest to readers.
